Addiction Medicine

Note: Prior to 2013 dependence was the medical term that was equivalent to addiction. The new medical term as of 2013 based on DSM 5 criteria is substance use disorders (SUDs). This represents progress in our nomenclature because these "disorders" represent a broad continuum of severity and individualized care is consistently associated with the best results.

Alcohol Dependence - Alcohol Use Disorder
Tobacco Dependence - Tobacco Use Disorder
Sedative Dependence - Sedative Use Disorder
Cocaine Dependence - Cocaine Use Disorder
Methamphetamine Dependence - Methamphetamine Use Disorder
Opioid Dependence - Opioid Use Disorder
Marijuana Dependence - Marijuana Use Disorder
Dr. Rotchford has extensive experience and expertise in using buprenorphine for pain management and opioid addiction.

OPAS in association with OMS provides in-house drug testing as a COLA certified high complex laboratory.
